JASON MATITY
If you attended the Ultimate Ice Fishing Show back in November, you’ll remember the Getfishing.ca brother team of Jeff and Jason Matity and their awesome underwater footage of fish crushing lures. The brothers are back for the Spring Fishing and Boat Show.
Join Jeff and Jason Matity of getfishing.ca and Bass Pro & Cabela’s Ambassadors for a seminar all about flash and vibration for big pike, walleye and bass. You will see through underwater footage how these predators react to large baits and why they can’t resist them, even when they are in a neutral to negative mood.
Jason Matity (BA, Journalism & Communications) uses his skill with a camera and video editor to create top notch video content for getfishing.ca, the source for multi species fishing in Canada.
Whether above or below the surface, Jason's extensive skills uniquely equip him to deliver high-adrenaline fishing videos aimed at anglers whether novice or pro. Jason is an accomplished multi-species angler. In both fresh and saltwater, throughout North America, to Hawaii, the Caribbean, Europe, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia and Vietnam, Jason has pursued all species that have crossed his path. Jason has also guided in Northern Saskatchewan as well as famed Last Mountain Lake in southern Saskatchewan. Jason can be seen monthly on CTV promoting fishing techniques, is heard on CBC radio and hosts a summer fishing report on local Saskatchewan radio. He is also a highly sought- after public speaker headlining various events, as well as teaching Learn to Fish programs for SaskParks. For nearly a decade, Jason has delivered fishing seminars for Cabela’s Canada with his brother Jeff.
A personal highlight for Jason was making the cover of Outdoor Canada magazine.
